Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet millions of people around the world walk miles every day to fetch water, often from contaminated sources.

Over the past two years, the Mosaic International's Walk for Water Campaigns has become more than just an event, it's become a movement. Together, we've raised over $13,084, bringing safe, clean water to more than 13,000 people for an entire year.

Walk for Water: The 1/1/1 Campaign

Here at Mosaic, we are dedicated to strengthening local churches and mobilizing communities to create sustainable development. Our initiatives focus on relief, development, discipleship, and mobilization, with projects currently active in Tanzania, Rwanda, the Philippines, and South Asia.

One of their most impactful efforts is our clean water initiative, ensuring that families in vulnerable communities have access to safe drinking water.

One of the most powerful aspects of Mosaic’s mission is that the innovative water filters are made in Tanzania, providing not just clean water but jobs, empowerment, and lasting change for local communities. This isn’t just a temporary solution, it’s sustainable, life-changing impact.

When you see these filters in action and the faces of the people whose lives are transformed, you truly understand why this work matters!

The 1/1/1 Campaign: Transforming Lives with a Dollar

The 1/1/1 Campaign is at the heart of the Walk for Water event. The concept is simple yet powerful:

  • $1 provides clean water to 1 person for 1 year.

  • A $5 donation changes the lives of 5 people, that’s an entire family!

  • A $500 donation means 500 people gain access to clean, safe drinking water.

Mosaic's water initiatives ensure that your contribution goes directly toward sustainable, life-changing, clean water solutions in underserved communities.

The Collaboration Between Mosaic International & WSDM Water

Last year, Mosaic International teamed up with WSDM Water to maximize the impact of the Walk for Water event and raised over $6,000 with that one campaign!

WSDM Water is more than just a water company; it’s a movement dedicated to quality, hospitality, and giving

Their commitment to providing clean, mineral-rich water at affordable prices aligns perfectly with Mosaic’s mission to bring clean water to those in need.

By joining forces, Mosaic and WSDM Water aim to spread awareness and raise funds for clean water initiatives that will create real, lasting change.

The collaboration will also help educate participants about the importance of water quality, accessibility, and sustainability, both locally and globally.

Who Is WSDM Water?

WSDM Water was founded in 2023 by tech veteran Peter Wang to provide better choices in a market dominated by corporate giants. Their mission is to redefine water quality by offering mineral-rich, affordable drinking water while giving back to communities in need.

Walk for Water

Why WSDM Water Exists:

  • Better Water Quality: The water market is monopolized, and the illusion of choice is real. WSDM Water provides a healthier, more transparent alternative.

  • Commitment to Hospitality: WSDM isn’t just a water brand; it’s a hydration café and community hub.

  • Giving Back: WSDM actively contributes to organizations like the Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, and more. Their commitment to giving aligns seamlessly with the mission of Mosaic International’s 1/1/1 Campaign.

WSDM’s Local  to Global Impact:

WSDM Water is rapidly expanding in Temecula and Murrieta, with its hydration cafés serving as a central hub. Their water is carried in over 20 local businesses, including cafés, restaurants, gyms, and fitness studios, with plans to expand to wineries and golf courses.

By partnering with Mosaic International, they’re taking their commitment to clean water global.

Walk for Water Past Campaigns

2024 First Annual Walk for Water Campaign

In 2024, we hosted our first Walk for Water campaign, where our Founder, Mark Sherman, and other amazing individuals took on an incredible challenge for #WorldWaterDay to raise awareness for the global water crisis.

Mark walked 26.2 miles (shown in the video below). Others took the challenge of 10,000 steps a day. We went together on World Water Day with a group of about 20 and walked 2-3 miles.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, in 2024 we raised a collective $3,430, enabling our team in Tanzania to provide an entire village with ceramic-safe water filters that will last a minimum of five years!

You can watch the video below from our Founder to see how the 2024 Walk for Water campaign impacted lives and why this cause remains so important today.

Providing Clean Water to the Masai People in Tanzania

As mentioned earlier, ALL the funds raised from the 2024 Walk for Water campaign were used to provide clean water to the Masai People in Tanzania in June of 2024. The donations enabled our team to manufacture and distribute ceramic-safe water filters, ensuring that an entire village has access to clean, safe drinking water for at least five years.

2025 Walk for Water Campaign

In 2025, we expanded the Walk for Water into a community-wide event in Temecula, partnering with WSDM Water to make an even bigger impact. On a sunny afternoon, families, friends, and compassionate hearts came together to walk in solidarity with those who walk miles every day just to access water.

Thanks to everyone who walked, donated, and spread the word, we raised over $6,164, meaning 6,164 people will have safe, clean water for an entire year. The ceramic filters distributed continue to be manufactured locally in Tanzania, providing not just clean water but employment and sustainable, long-term solutions for communities in need.

2025 Kids Walk for Water - Murrieta

In addition to our community-wide Walk for Water, Mosaic Ambassador Mike Westaway organized a special Kids Walk for Water event in Old Town Murrieta.

Local kids, families, and friends came together on a sunny Saturday, carrying blue water containers and walking in solidarity with children in rural Africa who make that journey every day.

Mike's vision was simple but powerful:

"My goal was to show kids they can make a difference. By becoming like Jesus and showing kindness, compassion, and empathy to those in need, they can truly make a difference."

And they did! Kids raised $3,490, meaning 3,490 people would receive safe, clean water for an entire year. Those funds enabled our Tanzania team to deliver 50 ceramic water filters to Ogutu Village in northern Tanzania, providing clean water to every family in the village for the first time in generations.

Ogutu Village Water Filter Distribution

Francis Njogu and his team traveled to Ogutu Village to personally deliver the 50 water filters purchased with funds from the Kids Walk for Water. For a community that had lived for generations without safe drinking water, this was a transformational moment.

Walk for Water: Join the Movement

Every step you take at the Walk for Water event is a step toward change. By walking one mile, you stand in solidarity with the millions of women and children who walk for hours every day just to collect water.

How can we make a BIG difference this year?

This year, we have an incredible opportunity to make an even bigger impact! Here’s how you can help maximize our efforts:

  • Join the Walk: If you’re local, come walk with us in person! The more people we have walking, the stronger our message of solidarity with those who walk daily for water.

  • Give More Than $1: While $1 provides clean water for one person for a year, imagine the difference we can make if we each give $5, $10, or more! Every dollar counts toward transforming lives.

  • Share the Event: Spreading the word is just as important as donating! Share this blog and event link with your friends, family, and social networks. Encourage others to participate and donate, together, we can make a huge difference!

Your participation and donations go directly toward funding sustainable water solutions in Africa and beyond.

Event Details:

  • Date: Sunday, March 22, 2026

  • Time: 12:00 PM

  • Location: 31821 Temecula Pkwy, Suite C-2, Temecula, CA 92592

  • Admission: $1 per person (provides 1 year of clean water to 1 person!)

Why Your Support Matters

The Walk for Water isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s a movement. Your participation brings awareness to the global water crisis and provides real solutions to communities in need. With your help, we can make clean water accessible to all.
