Walk for Water: 6,000 Lives Changed... and We’re Just Getting Started

On a sunny afternoon in Temecula, something small happened that made a big difference: people showed up, put one foot in front of the other, and... walked!
But this wasn’t your average stroll. This was Mosaic's annual Walk for Water, and every step taken helped bring clean water to people who need it most.
This year’s event was more than a mile-long community gathering. It was a movement of compassion powered by generous hearts, supportive families, and a shared desire to change the world, one drop at a time.

The 1/1/1 Impact: $1 = 1 Person Gets Clean Water for 1 Year
Let’s start with the numbers because they’re worth celebrating. Thanks to everyone who walked, donated, or spread the word, we’ve raised over $6,164 (and counting). That means 6,164 people will have safe water for an entire year.
That’s 6,164 moms, dads, kids, and grandparents who no longer have to worry about the diseases, dangers, and daily stress of unsafe water. That’s 6,164 lives transformed.
“For I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”— Matthew 25:35
This is what that verse looks like in action.
Why We Walk
In the U.S., most of us turn on the tap without thinking twice. But for millions around the world, water isn't easy... or safe to access.
In countries like Tanzania, women and children walk more than three miles every day just to collect water. And often, it’s from contaminated sources. That means hours lost, education interrupted, and families exposed to waterborne illnesses.
The global water crisis is one of the most urgent humanitarian challenges of our time. But it’s also one of the most solvable.
That’s why we walk.

We walk in solidarity with those who have no choice but to walk for water. We walk to raise awareness. We walk to fund real, tangible solutions... like sustainable ceramic filters made in-country by local workers.
We walk because, sometimes, love looks like lacing up your sneakers and showing up for someone you may never meet.
A Collaboration with Heart: Mosaic + WSDM Water
This year, we were proud to partner with WSDM Water, a local company with a global mission. Founded in 2023 by Peter Wang, WSDM Water is reimagining hydration with a focus on quality, community, and giving back.
Their tagline? “Live wisely, choose wisely.”

WSDM Water brings more than just mineral-rich, affordable drinking water to Temecula, they bring heart. They’ve supported everything from the Special Olympics to Habitat for Humanity, and now they’ve joined forces with Mosaic to make a global impact through the Walk for Water.

This partnership just makes sense: Mosaic focuses on sustainable development and clean water access, and WSDM is all about redefining how we think about water, locally and globally.
By coming together, we’re making an even bigger splash. (Sorry, we had to.)
The Power of Sustainable Solutions
One of the most beautiful things about Mosaic’s clean water initiative is how deeply it invests in local communities.
The ceramic filters we distribute aren’t imported, they’re manufactured in Tanzania, providing both clean water and employment to those in need. It's not a temporary fix, it's sustainable impact.
Last year’s funds brought water to a Masai village in Tanzania, changing lives for at least five years. This year, we’re expanding that reach even further.
So when you give, you’re not just funding a filter, you’re fueling jobs, dignity, and hope.
How You Can Still Help
We’ve already impacted over 6,000 lives. But why stop there?
Here’s how you can jump in:
Donate: Every single dollar = one year of clean water for one person.
Share the Campaign: Post it, text it, shout it from the rooftops.
Pray: For the communities receiving filters, for the people still waiting, and for the ongoing mission.
Join Next Year: We’re making this walk an annual tradition, and we want you there!
More Than a Walk
The Walk for Water is about more than raising money. It’s about awareness, action, and community. It’s about reminding ourselves and others that small steps can make a big impact.

It’s also a beautiful picture of the body of Jesus coming together: local businesses, churches, families, and students walking side by side for a global cause.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”—1 John 3:18
