Some things are easier to believe in theory than to actually feel. God's love is one of them. Whether you've heard it your whole life or you're coming to it completely fresh — skeptical, curious, or somewhere in between — these Bible verses about God's love for us are worth sitting with.

Bible Verses About God's Love for Us

What Does the Bible Say About God's Love for Us?

The short answer: a lot. The longer answer starts with four verses you've probably heard — and a few things about them you might not have considered.

Can Anything Separate Us from the Love of God?

Romans 8:38–39 answers this directly — and it's one of the most sweeping passages in the New Testament. Death nor life, height nor depth, nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The list Paul gives is exhaustive on purpose. He isn't leaving a loophole. For anyone who has ever wondered if they've gone too far or done too much — this verse exists for you. We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

What Does It Mean to Be Called Children of God?

1 John 3:1 calls this a gift: "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are."

It's less a title than a relationship. Belonging to someone who loves you not because of what you've done but because of who he is.

Lead with the love

These verses don't require you to have everything figured out. They just ask you to read them and let them land.

If God's love is the kind that crosses every barrier — death, distance, height, depth — it makes sense that it moves people to cross barriers too. That's what Mosaic Ambassadors do. They carry this love into their communities, their networks, and the world.
