Every year, on October 16, more than 150 countries unite to observe World Food Day, a global call to action led by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The goal: to end world hunger, strengthen food security, and ensure everyone has access to food.
At Mosaic International, we share that mission, not just through programs, but through the love of Jesus Christ in action. This World Food Day 2025, our hearts and hands are set on a mountain: Mount Kilimanjaro.

Summit for Hope: More Than a Mountain
In December 2025, our Summit for Hope: Kilimanjaro team will climb Africa’s highest peak. But this climb isn’t about adventure, it’s about bringing hope, food, and light to families in Tanzania through the love of Jesus.
In the rural areas surrounding Kilimanjaro, families face daily food insecurity and a lack of clean water and safe light. When darkness falls, entire villages are left without power, but God’s light still shines. Every step we take up that mountain is a prayer for the people below, and every gift you give becomes Jesus’ love made tangible.
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

Hand in Hand: Feeding Bodies and Souls
The World Food Day theme reminds us that transformation happens when we work hand in hand. At Mosaic International, we’re joining the global movement to raise awareness and act against hunger, not through politics, but through love in motion.
Your generosity fuels this mission. Every donation helps provide:
Clean Water = God’s Provision
Water filters that serve entire families for years. No more disease. No more fear. Just clean, life-giving water, a picture of the Living Water Jesus offers. Below are the results from our most recent kid's walk for water as well as a video from one of our Mosaic leaders Francis sharing what those provisions provided. Read the story here and watch the videos below.
Food = Jesus’ Compassion
Meals that don’t just fill stomachs, but restore dignity and hope. When we feed the hungry, we’re literally feeding Jesus.
Light = Hope in Darkness
Solar lights that transform evening hours from fear to possibility. Because Jesus is the Light of the World, and His light shines through us.
When we climb, we carry your prayers. When we descend, we deliver food, water, and the message that no one is forgotten by God.
Food Systems and Faith: God’s Design for Provision
The Food and Agriculture Organization reminds us that hunger isn’t just about scarcity, it’s about systems. Broken food systems lead to broken lives. But as believers, we know that God’s original design for food production and agriculture was one of abundance and stewardship.
This World Food Day, we invite you to reflect on how your choices can make a difference. When we reduce food waste, support sustainable agricultural production, and give generously, we echo the Creator’s heart for restoration.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17
A Global Crisis, A Kingdom Response
Today, millions of people live in food insecurity, struggling to meet daily needs. While civil society and nations’ food and agriculture organizations work tirelessly to address these challenges, the Church has a divine role to play.
Through Mosaic International’s outreach, you’re joining hands with believers across continents, proving that faith, hope, and food are deeply connected. We’re not just providing sustenance; we’re proclaiming that Jesus is the Bread of Life.
This Christmas, Be the Miracle
This Christmas season, as the Summit for Hope team climbs Kilimanjaro, your support can turn World Food Day awareness into World Food Day action.
Because the true summit isn’t 19,341 feet high, it’s the moment a hungry child receives a meal and hears that Jesus loves them.
Let’s climb together, not with our feet, but with our faith. Let’s feed not just bodies, but souls. Let’s bring light to the darkness, hope to the hungry, and Jesus to the nations.
Give the Gift of Hope This Christmas... Reduce food waste. Restore dignity. Reflect Jesus.
