CULTIVATING CHANGE +
MOVING TO THE PHILIPPINES
SOW HOPE TODAY
REAP A HARVEST TOMORROW
Cultivation is what farmers do to prepare the land for planting—tilling the soil, sowing seeds, and nurturing them. No matter the country or method, the goal is the same: Today’s preparation determines tomorrow’s harvest!

This year is extra special as we are excited to announce that we (The Shermans) are MOVING to the Philippines! This leap of faith has been years in the making, and while challenges lie ahead, we step forward confidently because of God’s clear guidance—and because of incredible supporters like you. Together, we’re impacting thousands of lives, not only in the Philippines but also in Tanzania, Rwanda, South Asia, and beyond.

2024 was a year of milestones:

-
Thousands reached with the good news of Jesus.
-
Hundreds of families + multiple villages received life saving food relief, solar lights and clean water.
-
Dozens of baptisms celebrated.
-
Sports camps, youth conferences, and events for pastors, leaders, and children.
-
Dozens of people joined us in walking over 1 MILLION STEPS to raise funds and awareness for communities without safe drinking water. As always, every cent donated was given directly to the cause.
-
Short term mission teams joined our work in Tanzania & The Philippines.
-
Our first gala raised $20,000+, directly funding projects in the Philippines, Rwanda, India, and Tanzania.

In 2025 we invite you to sow into the mission of Mosaic International. Your gifts help encourage, equip, and mobilize churches in developing nations to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their own communities.

To make our move possible we are praying for:

-
$25,000 in one-time gifts to launch our family to the Philippines next summer and set up a new home base.
-
50 new monthly donors to support our family and ministry starting in 2025. Select "Support for Sherman Family" from the dropdown to directly support us.

Every gift, big or small, makes a difference. And as always, we’ll show you exactly how your contributions are transforming lives! Will you join us this month to cultivate change in the Philippines and beyond?

With gratitude,
The Shermans

Other ways you can play a role in this next phase:

(1) Pray. Some prayer points: pray for the girls as they navigate leaving family and friends while also heading to many changes ahead; connections to people, places and churches where we can share the vision; guidance finding a home to rent in the Philippines; provision to make ends meet between now and our move; continued growth and favor in the other countries we work (and will continue to operate) in.

(2) Connect. We would love to connect with you personally (in person or remote), and we would love to connect / share at your church or with your small group. We also value corporate sponsors and would love to collaborate with your business or one in your circle of influence! Email mark@mosaicinternational.org to start a conversation!

CLICK THE VIDEO BELOW TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE WHEN THE CORNERSTONE TEAM VISITED THE PHILIPPINES EARLIER IN 2024. WHILE WE HAVE OTHER INITIATIVES IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY, BICOL IS THE MAIN REGION WE HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE PAST 6 YEARS.
-
"Is Mark still working at Cornerstone?"After three incredible years as Missions Pastor, Mark's final day on staff at the church was November 30th. We will still always consider Cornerstone home and will continue to attend services until we officially move to the Philippines.
-
"When will you move to the Philippines?"We plan to move on August 1st, 2025 depending on how support raising goes. This timeline allows us to connect with friends like you, engage with other churches that may support our ministry, and let Zoey & Gracie finish their current school year.
-
"Where in the Philippines will you be? What about other countries?"We’re aiming to set up a home base in Legazpi, a city strategically located near two of our major projects. We’ll continue our work across the Philippines, East Africa, and South Asia. Our long term vision includes expanding into other hard-to-reach areas as God provides opportunities.
-
"Will you be raising financial support?"Yes! As full-time missionaries, we rely on financial support from individuals and churches who share our passion for the Great Commission. If you'd like to support us, click here and select "Support for Sherman Family" from the dropdown. We also love partnering with corporate donors. All donations are tax-deductible, with one-time gifts going toward moving expenses and ongoing projects, while monthly gifts sustain our family and ministry long-term.
-
"Are there other ways we can help?"Absolutely! Here’s how you can be involved: Pray for us and stay tuned for prayer updates. Follow Mosaic on Facebook + Instagram, and share posts. Forward this email (and future emails) to spread the word. Host a small gathering for us to share the vision with your circle. Connect us with churches or people who may be interested in global missions. Start a fundraiser (we can help) or suggest other creative ideas!

Is Mosaic International a nonprofit?Yes, we are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and proceeds go toward benefitting impoverished communities in developing nations.
