WHAT A NIGHT!
MOSAIC INTERNATIONAL GALA 2024
Thank you for making our first gala, "Around The World", so special. Nearly 200 people showed up eager to learn about what God is doing in the nations and get a glimpse of a few things we are looking forward to invest in over the next year, specifically planting new churches and training leaders! The feeling was pretty electric!
We were blessed to hear from our special guests Abhijit Nayak about India & Francis Njogu about Tanzania, and Brittany & I were honored to share as well about our recent time to Rwanda & the Philippines.
HUGE shoutout to all of our sponsors & table hosts who helped cover the costs of the evening in order for so many people to come for free and ensure that 100% of the proceeds go toward the cause, as well as the MANY volunteers who came together from the earliest stages of planning to the very end of the evening cleaning up. You are my heroes!
Collectively, you gave $24,000 in one time gifts and 8 individuals have joined our monthly giving community (aka The Circle) for a total of $595 / month! Amazingly that also means 50+ people donated for the first time! I want to celebrate that wonderful milestone with you!
HERE'S HOW YOUR GIFTS ARE ALREADY AT WORK IN THE NATIONS:
SOUTH ASIA: We quickly identified a church plant in need of support, strategically placed in the a part of the country close to several other nations harsh towards Christians and closed off to the Gospel. The Pastor (we are protecting his name & photo for safety) comes from a Hindu family who converted to Christianity. His vision is to reach out to two specific people groups nearby who are unreached and help them discover the love of Jesus. We have already begun our recurring support of $350/month, and we hope to visit the church in the future, although currently it is too dangerous to visit as Westerners. If you have a heart for South Asia & reaching unreached areas for Jesus, please consider praying with us, signing up to support them monthly as well.
RWANDA: Pastor Pacifique and the team in Rwanda are experiencing explosive growth and are actively making plans to start a new community + outreach center and larger church facility. Our goal was to send finances to help pour the concrete foundation for this project. The funds have been sent, they had a groundbreaking ceremony a few weeks later and are actively working toward developing this center as you read these words.
PHILIPPINES: As we expressed at the gala, there is already a church that has been planted that we got to visit in April in an area called Sorsogon. The property they were meeting at under a large tree has now been taken from them as the landlord plans to develop it in the near future. By God's grace they identified a plot of land nearby where they will build a church structure and begin building a student center and much more! We are beyond blessed to report that we sent funds, they plotted out the boundary, began meeting in a temporary structure and are nearly done building a brand new building!
TANZANIA: Francis Njogu did a fantastic job explaining how impactful our work has been at getting churches all around Northern Tanzania to meet and worship together. At the same time, we've discovered the need to train these pastors to deeply understand God's word as well as provide necessary retreats so that they can replicate a sustainable model of discipleship to the many other churches and villages across the Kilimanjaro region and beyond. Our goal is to impact 100 pastors and leaders over the next year, and we have been intentional in doing so ever since! We've held multiple gatherings (small and large), hosted a marriage retreat, and MUCH more. Stay tune for more stories.
