Typhoon Relief

When the typhoon hit land just over a week ago, it hit this exact place first, ripping it apart with devastating wind & torrential rainfall as it passed throughout the country. Hundreds of thousands were evacuated, many lost homes completely, some lost their lives... even as you read this there is no access to electricity or running water.

It also happens to be where I was the entire week leading up to the storm hanging out with Pastor Edwin & Jo and their church (click here to see the last newsletter highlighting that portion of the trip).

Now everything looks completely different. The church building was knocked to the ground, fences & most trees were blown over, many no longer have roofs on their homes, and most do not have the means to rebuild what was so quickly taken away.

Thankfully, that's not how this story has to end. In fact the church has been a beacon of light in a broken community, still gathering, still welcoming in their neighbors who are devastated and without means to replace what was so quickly taken.

Our mission is to help pastors and churches meet practical needs in their communities. Needless to say, there are some very real, very concrete needs that we can meet with your help.

Below is a list of the budget to rebuild. Together we can change real lives, right now. We will send 100% of the funds raised to the field. And as always, you can count on seeing progress photos and stories. Will you join us?
